The Scientific Committee of the Pacific Dental Conference invites presentation summary submissions from Dentists, Dental Educators, Hygienists, Certified Dental Assistants, Dental Assistants, Denturists, Dental Therapists, and Front Office Administration Staff from across Canada and the U.S. for consideration in the conference program on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The summaries will be accepted in PDF format via email.

Call for Presentations Guidelines

The submission deadline is Friday, October 15, 2010. Notice of acceptance will be provided by Friday, November 19, 2010. Initial correspondence will be addressed to the person that submitted the presentation summary. Unless requested otherwise, after acceptance, correspondence will be directed to the designated presenting author/presenter. So You Think You Can Speak? Series II oral presentations will take place in various concurrent session time slots on Saturday, March 12, 2011.

Full speaker guidelines will be sent in November. Accepted speakers will be provided complimentary registration on the day of your presentation (Saturday, March 12), as well as access to the Speaker Lounge where a complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served. Accepted speakers will be required to cover all travel and accommodation costs.

Submitting a Presentation Summary

Your presentation summary must include a detailed description of what your presentation will illustrate or describe. How will you engage the audience? Will your presentation provide an opportunity for interaction and discussion? What will the audience learn/take away from your presentation? What is your overall objective in this fifty minute presentation? Please do not include graphics or photographs in your summary.

An acknowledgment of receipt of the summary will be sent to the person that submitted via return email. Presentation summaries must be prepared in English. Prepare your document in word-processing software such as MS Word and save it as a PDF File. Do not use presentation software such as PowerPoint. Please limit your presentation summary to no more than 250 words. Required Layout for Presentation Summary Submission
